*Quarter courses 4 absences
*Health class is a Quarter course
Class Cutting and Tardiness
DEFINITION:
TARDY TO CLASS – Arriving up to 5 minutes late to class or being absent from the class without an official excuse.
Three (3) incidents of unexcused tardiness to instructional classes will be considered as one (1) cut. One cut is equivalent to an unexcused absence. If a teacher records the absence of a student who is not on the absentee list, and it is determined that there was not a legitimate reason for the absence, then this class absence will be considered a “cut” and also equivalent to one (1) unexcused absence.
Excess tardiness will be referred to, and reviewed by the Attendance Committee.
*Any student who receives One (1) cut in a health class will receive a loss of credit for that class.
NOTE: * refers to a quarter class.
